Good USB dongle with clean sound

The Jcally JM30 is a small dongle dac with the well measuring cirrus logic CS43131 dac chip. It sounds clean and is powerful enough to drive most earphones. There is no audible sign of distortion at even the max volume.

When compared with my previous dongle, the CX-Pro using the Conexant CX31993 chip, I was not able to hear any difference between the two dongles and the max volumes are very similar. Ymmv

The build quality is better on the JM30 and since the board is on the 3.5mm side, it doesn't heat up like the CX-Pro when connected to my laptop.

Overall, it's a good DAC that performs well. If you require more power though, do look at the JM06 pro which has the CX31993 chip with a separate amp. Or the more expensive dual CS43131 dacs for even more power.
