I was looking for a replacement of my faulty Cayin N5mkii DAP after four years. I found TempoTec V6 as a suitable replacement with similar price.
Found V6 to be a well built machine with a good display and simple, reasonably smooth GUI.
Played V6 with ABBA, Bollywood, Hindustani classical, Instrumental like Santoor and Tabla. In every genre it performed very well. It has a good sound stage, separation and excellent dynamic range. Bass is deep, treble clear and midrange clean. Overall music signature is musical and pleasing. Used my Shures SE215, IMR splash of red with 3.5mm out IMR paired well. Used Audio Tin 2 on 4.4 bal converted to 2.5. This combo gave me an excellent performance. Headphones Philips SHP 9500 on 3.5 and He4XX on 4.4 bal port were average even with volume cranked up to 70. Connected my iPhone 13pro with V6 through BT and played songs from Apple Music. They sounded divine. Played Sitar from YouTube and it was wonderful.
I am happy with purchase as it is performing far beyond my expectations at this price point.

Thanks to Pritam Ji for keeping his promise and delivering this to me within a day of him getting the stock..a genuine person and a fellow audiophile who never pushes sub standard stuff on you just to clear his inventory and only recommends gear which he has personally tested and enjoyed.

As the title suggests...the AKM chip and OPA amp section delivers this rare combination of energy / attack along with no sibilance or harshness.... it's a bit less resolving / out of the head compared to ESS chip driven stuff...but you can listen to music on these all day long without getting a headache and buzzy ears 🙂

The old Android version and weak processor don't matter much in real life usage as long as you are using a music streaming app Or usb app pro / hiby music along with some YouTube / web browsing...but it's not for gaming and heavy video streaming...use your phone for that.

After burning for several hours, it's performing quite well. The sound has completely changed, it's now too matured and warmth. At the end of the day, it's a great purchase.

Over rated product. Not worth for money I spent....just a mediocre DAP... excessive slow and surprisingly heating problem. The player goes over heated after a while. Very cheap product....👎

Tempotec v6 is a very good dAP , I’m surprised how well they sound given the price tag, The sound is silky smooth & non fatiguing, it’s got all the bells and whistles,
