3 Technologies, 1 Cutting-edge IEM!
Enjoy the magic of 3 high-performance drivers in one IEM with the TRI I3 Pro. A high-class balanced armature driver delivers accurate treble with a sweet, sublime and realistic sound. The 10mm planar magnetic driver ensures high-resolution, clean and smooth mids. The 8mm composite dynamic driver completes the trio with a deep, natural and speedy bass.
Tiny Form that Packs a Punch
The CNC-machined aluminium alloy shell has been polished for a mirror effect. Based on a large amount of data, the housing cavity has been designed to be 26% smaller. The highly elastic TPE and silicone ear tips enclose the ear canal for better comfort and noise isolation.
Quality that Can Be Heard
The TRI I3 Pro comes with a 4-core braided silver-coated single crystal copper cable that enhances the quality of the soundstage. It terminates with a gold-plated jack on one end and a 2Pin connection on the other. The high-quality 0.78mm 2Pin connectors make upgrading your in-ear easy and seamless.
To cut the long story short this is a beast of an iem if you are looking for a fun sounding W shaped iem in mid price range.
Had 7 Hz timeless few weeks back (sold, no idea why, now regret) and was highly impressed by its soundstage and instruments/vocal clarity, all in all a typical planer sound, kinda reminded me of my sundara. However it lacked little bit of mid base (being planer) which I wished would have made it a complete planer magic. Made extensive research again and came across tri i3 pro which I would say satisfied my crave for mid bass.
Now coming to the point. If you really like to have a planer sound with good quality sub base and mid base in particular, look no further. However caution here is that it does not sound like a pure planer iem. Most of the time I feel that I am listening to a DD iem (rather than planer) with impactful and pleasant mid base making the vocals clear and forward, free from any bleed.
Since it is a W shaped fun iem mids come like a hero. Extremely clear, crisp and forward vocals which gives you a pleasant listening particularly vocal focussed songs.
Treble to my taste is satisfying though to be honest wished a little bit more, but okay. No sibilance or harshness is observed at high frequency. Soundstage not massive but is there what it needs to be. Imaging good.
Caution - If you wish to have typical planer sound then not for you. It is a clever blend of DD and planer, DD taking the charge.
Spoiler Alert! If you don't want to read my full review, this is a very nicely mild W shaped iem with very pleasant and musical tonality with an universal appeal. Soundstage and imaging are awesome for the price, high quality bass that extends deep, super smooth treble and clean and slightly forward mids. Buy It before stocks run out if you have the budget.
Some times I ask myself why do I keep buying IEMs. Buying ton of iems that cater to specific genres have become a necessity due to the tuning and marketing strategies by audio companies. Then there was blon 03 which blew every one away with its universal appeal and warm and musical tuning. It costs like 2000 rs and is Great VFM.
Coming to the hero of the show, The I3 Pro is miles ahead of the blon 03 in every aspect but at its heart it wins in tuning which is very musical, and has an universal appeal just like the blon. It might seem weird to compare a 15k iem to 2k, but audiophilia is weird, :) you could have amazing musical sound out of 2k iem and totally dry and boring sound out of a 50k iem.
Build and comfort: 8/10. I3 PRO, feels premium and is built exceedingly well. The nozzles are a bit longer and thicker than usual which meant I couldn't get a good seal with my regular medium ear tips. I had to use the small sized tips to get a secure fit. So people with small ear canals might have an issue. Cable is OK but expected a balanced one at this price.
Bass: 8/10. More subbass focused than mid bass. The bass has depth, texture and quality to it but the mid bass is missing a bit of punch. Attack and decay are a bit slower leading to a very minor bloat but it's barely noticeable. The dynamic driver handles the bass instead of planar which I thought was a bit of odd choice. But what this does is, it makes the overall listening experience more musical and enjoyable.
Mids: 9/10. No complaints. Vocals are slightly forward. Imaging is excellent and all instruments are presented very well with good layering and separation but not a very technical iem (which is not bad btw). The planar is used for the mids I think which leads to a superior performance. (Could be parlty also handled by BA too not sure)
Treble:8/10. Very very smooth with no unwanted peaks. Does roll off a bit earlier than I would like but does provide the necessary sparkle. Sibilance is non existent. The BA mainly handles the treble I think and is quite natural in its presentation.
Overall, a very well tuned iem with powerful sub bass, clean mids and smooth treble. Really loved it. Wish we have more iems like these which can be used for any genre and listen to music for long hours without fatigue.
