Description

VENTURE ELECTRONICS MONK SLIM METAL DESIGN: Monk SM Earphone is shiny, solid and has a slight weight to it making the Monk SM feels ever so premium. The front face cover is made of plastic. It certainly has the best build and looks in the Monk series. it has one of the most comfortable shell shapes.

DETAILED PERFORMANCE: The Venture Electronics Monk SM delivers clean signature and detailed performance. Due to their bright-neutral signature, it is very analytical in their performance but they do not sound overly cold or too thin in their sound signature and they sounded very energetic. Timbre is great with musical instruments sounded natural and they are easily distinguished in your listening experience. The Monk SM is suitable for any genre in my opinion especially for vocal based music, rock, and metal.

CABLE: Cable of the Monk SM is a basic Monk series cable but in a new dark silver color that is thin, flexible and as durable as the original Monk Series cable. The look is like a high-end product. The audio plug is a gold-plated pin encased in a solid shiny metal like the earbuds itself. Overall, the design is simply beautiful and punches well above the asking price of the Monk SM.

ERGONOMIC DESIGN & COMFORTABLE TO WEAR: The ergonomic design of these earbuds makes them suitable and comfortable for all ears regardless of their shape. It has 12 pair of Foam tips inside. The Monk SM is lightweight, resulting in a comfortable earphone for daily use.

Major Upgrade to Monk Plus

It's like someone took off a veil from the monk plus and upgraded it in every way possible. Build is all metal and PK shell is sleep compatible (stupidly comfortable) and cable is very good with NO noise.
It has plenty of bass if you want the "right" amount of bass in your songs (idk what many reviewers were saying when they say NO bass)
A simple bass boost eq drastically increases the bass to your liking.
THE CLARITY and TONALITY is WOW at 2500 rupees.
Songs sound so natural its incredible. Strings and instruments sound like they're being played next to you. I use the moondrop aria as well and I prefer these over them when listening to live recordings or vocal focused music.
These scale very well with power source although they are easy to drive with even a phone. The clarity and resolution is better with my Fiio K3 than the apple dongle though its a marginal difference
Really good pair for rock, metal and jazz. Instrument separation is very very good at the price and soundstage is big due to the earbud design.
Songs I used to test:
Linkin Park - Meteora (album)
Yorushika - Escape
a LOT of anime openings
Disturbed - Animal
Rammstein - Deutschland
IDK - 24
Sam Smith - Unholy
Pritam - First Class
Diljit Dosanjh - Moonchild Era (album)

Some Cons to note: Poorly mastered music can sound thin. Shrilly voices will be a bit sharp to new listeners, but you get used to it pretty fast. It's an earbud so don't expect isolation although the plethora of foams can help you get a good seal (i use the donuts)

Conclusion:
If you like a neutral-bright tuning, like vocals and instruments to sound natural, this is an easy pick at this price, very easily beats any other selection (for earbuds)
Good pick to upgrade from the Monk Plus (as i did)
NOT for bassheads.
VEClan hit the jackpot with this one.

Clarity rules above all

They have a muted low end (which is normal from earbuds) but more than made up by its organic and analog with a holographic soundstage and out of the head experience...clear and crisp treble with very sturdy build quality
