Audiophile Review: Effect Audio 8 Wire Cadmus Paired with Sennheiser IE 900
The Sennheiser IE 900 is already a highly regarded in-ear monitor (IEM) known for its exceptional sound quality, balanced sound signature, and impressive detail retrieval. Pairing it with the Effect Audio 8 Wire Cadmus cable, which is designed to enhance audio performance, promises to elevate the listening experience even further. Here’s an in-depth review of this pairing, highlighting the pros and cons.
Build Quality and Design
Effect Audio 8 Wire Cadmus:
Premium Materials: The 8 Wire Cadmus is constructed with high-purity OCC copper, ensuring excellent conductivity and minimal signal loss.
Robust Build: The cable features a durable yet flexible design, with a high-quality sheath that protects the internal wires while maintaining flexibility.
Aesthetic Appeal: The braided design not only adds to the durability but also gives the cable a luxurious and premium look.
Sound Quality
Effect Audio 8 Wire Cadmus Paired with Sennheiser IE 900:
Pros:
1. Enhanced Clarity and Detail:
- The 8 Wire Cadmus significantly enhances the clarity and detail retrieval of the IE 900. Micro-details become more pronounced, and the overall resolution improves, providing a more immersive listening experience.
2. Improved Soundstage and Imaging:
- The pairing creates a wider and more expansive soundstage, allowing for better separation and placement of instruments. Imaging becomes more precise, making it easier to pinpoint the location of individual elements within the music.
3. Refined Bass Response:
- The bass becomes tighter and more controlled, with improved texture and depth. The slight bass emphasis of the IE 900 is complemented by the Cadmus cable, resulting in a more impactful and engaging low-end performance.
4. Smooth and Extended Highs:
- The treble is smooth and extended, with added sparkle and airiness. The Cadmus cable helps to mitigate any harshness or sibilance, providing a more refined and enjoyable high-frequency response.
5. Natural and Lush Mids:
- The midrange becomes more natural and lush, with enhanced vocal clarity and instrument separation. The pairing ensures that the mids remain clear and detailed without being overshadowed by the bass or treble.
Cons:
1. Price:
- The Effect Audio 8 Wire Cadmus is a premium cable, and its price reflects that. While it offers significant improvements in sound quality, the cost may be prohibitive for some users.
2. Stiffness:
- Due to the 8-wire construction, the cable can be slightly stiffer compared to standard cables. While it is still flexible, some users may find it less convenient for portable use.
3. Potential for Over-Analysis:
- The increased detail and resolution can sometimes lead to over-analysis of the music. Audiophiles may find themselves focusing more on the technical aspects rather than simply enjoying the music.
Conclusion
Overall Impression:
The pairing of the Effect Audio 8 Wire Cadmus with the Sennheiser IE 900 results in a truly remarkable listening experience. The cable enhances the already impressive sound quality of the IE 900, providing improved clarity, detail, soundstage, and overall musicality. While the price and slight stiffness of the cable may be considerations, the benefits it brings to the audio performance make it a worthwhile investment for serious audiophiles.
Recommendation:
- For Audiophiles: If you are an audiophile seeking to extract the maximum performance from your Sennheiser IE 900, the Effect Audio 8 Wire Cadmus is highly recommended. The enhancements in sound quality are substantial and will elevate your listening experience to new heights.
- For Casual Listeners: If you are a more casual listener, the improvements may not justify the cost. The IE 900 is already an excellent IEM, and the stock cable provides a great listening experience.
In summary, the Effect Audio 8 Wire Cadmus paired with the Sennheiser IE 900 is a match made in audiophile heaven. The combination delivers exceptional sound quality, making it a top choice for those who demand the best in their audio gear.

First I like to Thank Pritam to make it available. As always packing is awesome by TAS.
I tried with my FH9, Timeless and my friend Mext, S12 there is huge difference in sound quality compare to stock cables, Design and build is awesome, Connectors are really cool. ConX helped to change the mmcx and 2pin iems, very comfortable to wear, impressive sub-bass, clear Vocals, pouch looks different.
I think Effect Audio should provide MMCX removal tool moving forward.
Thank you for your review! We're glad you're enjoying the Cadmus IEM Upgrade Cable. We hope you'll continue to use it and enjoy the improvements it makes to your IEMs.
Paired this with the 64 audio nio & it enhanced the clarity with lil bit of sparkle, The stock cable in nio lacked definition and clarity, but the Cadmus sounded clear & defined, solid built and great sounding cable Thanks to pritam for making this happen
Thanks for the review! We're glad you're happy with the upgrade cable.
Here I'm writing my personal experience and my feelings regarding Effect Audio Cadmus IEM Upgrade Cable. After i was purchased Sennheiser IE 600 IEM, i tried a lot for replacement cable for this IEM. Finally I dared and took decision to buy flagship Effect Audio Cadmus IEM Upgrade Cable. This cable is Excel with IE600, unbelievable dynamics, bass is so beautiful. Treable also well controlled. This Effect Audio Cadmus IEM Upgrade Cable is my al timel and for ever favourite. It's comes with 2pin as well as with mmcx. This cable is specifically made for IE600 as i experienced with sounds quality improvement. That's why it's a Universal cable.
Once again Pritamji Thanks once again for providing me so amazing and wonderful product. So much speedy delivery also.
Finally im thinking this is my end game at cable replacement searching.
Cable rolling is a debatable topic, but if you are in the audiophile hobby for quite some time, you will realise that cables do bring about subtle, but noticeable or significant different in the presentation of various frequencies. This may be good or bad, so the key is to find the right synergy or the cable which matches or enhances the tonality of your iem in the way you want it to be.
My objective was to make the vocals slightly brighter and more revealing, as the oem balanced cable sounded slightly veiled, esp for the vocals. Effect Audio Cadmus (4.4mm) fully achieves this objective. It makes vocals cleaner and more revealing. But as this is a cable (and not eq :-)), the effect percolates across frequencies, and consequently the bass has also becomes cleaner and tighter. Effectively this reduces the bass impact which the oem cable gave, as it was slightly blunter, which I preferred more. However when I switched my amp module (to tube mode), it just becomes the perfect blend of all frequencies. There is a slight warmth which gives better bass impact, and the vocal were also revealing and removed some edginess. Now this set-up is the best across frequencies compared to oem balanced cable. The fit on Cadmus is also better than the oem, esp the ear-hooks they just cling on and make sure that iems are the right position. Highly recommended buy.
I think in the EA signature series range one cannot be termed to be better than the other, as the key is on the synergy and what changes you are planning to bring about with your iem. The price difference may be due to the choice of materials, and not essentially better tonality.
Kudos to Pritam and TAS for bringing this product at a very competitive price point.

I have used lots of TWS even high end of Samsung and Oppo worth 10K. But IEM sound signature is great! This is my second IEM. I had KZ-ZEX. It has dual driver with electrostatic. Compare with that MoonDrop Chu 2 is better clear and smooth sound signature even with single driver. I am using with Audiocular DAC cost 750. Just go with MoonDrop Chu 2 if you are music lover. Thanks.
Great packaging and quick delivery
Loved the theme of the store and the support of the customer service for every problem I faced. I would be interested in buying new things from the audio store in future.
Good Quality and got a clear case for the player.
Thank you 😊

The quality is great, I felt that the base got a bit reduced and mids and treble enhanced using the same. They look premium. The only downside is that they are slightly bulky as the cable is 16 core and sometimes you can feel it behind the ears. Overall a great cable to upgrade your entry level iems to support balanced output

After going through many websites, I came to know about this particular dac, which is purely oriented on audio amplification with dedicated chip unlike other dacs available under 2k, so ordered and received in two days, to my surprise it has significantly enhanced the audio experience on oneplus 13R, with wired earphones (redmi hi-res of 500 INR), usb type a to c adaptor really came into handy and detected as HiFi audio in my dell laptop, cherry on the cake was the pouch, I didn't expect a pouch, very happy with the purchase...

Visited thier store cum experience center it was very great place for sound lovers . Especially like their display of products in thier demo room. The Owner /Staff were cooperative and also suggested me several IEM's before i select one.

I was looking for IEM Tangzu but they were loud and bass was little low as per my ears.Owner or Associate at store suggested me Audicular i liked the sound as well as bass effect its great product.
The Sennheiser IE 200 delivers impressive value for the price. Comfort-wise, they’re lightweight and fit snugly thanks to the ergonomic design and included foam/silicone tips—great for long listening sessions. Build quality is solid despite the plastic housing, and the detachable braided cable adds durability. As for the sound signature, it’s balanced and clean—tight bass, clear mids, and smooth treble without harshness. Bonus points for the dual-tuning feature that lets you slightly tweak the sound. A fantastic entry-level choice for anyone looking to step into the audiophile world.
There sound is pretty good
Good quality
a very well made cable from Dunu with modular plugs and a very secure fastening system (q lock), no microphonics noted, contrary to many reports, usage : Shure se215 + 4.4 plug + Hiby r4 and it really opens up the Shures and the over ear loops are very comfortable too
This is really warm sounding as advertised. Especially vocals are more engaging. The fact that its driven by phone power doesn't affect the sound quality in anyway like in other dacs I have experienced brighter, thin sound or few peaks in upper midrange. If earphones are having good sensitivity then this dac provides good enough power. Although bit bulky build is very good. I'm sure it can withstand frequent drops also. Have not tried the filters and listening to default filter only. One thing I noticed is although on paper power output is good for 32ohm its only good at driving earphones and not headphones. Distortion kicks in when volume is increased even at high gain setting. I'm only guessing current supplying capability for dynamic driver headphones is not sufficient. Tested with 300ohm HD600.
The sound quality is so much better than any other wireless earphones
The quality of wire is superb.
The mic quality is also good.
Length and feel of wire is good. Sound quality with my Tangzu warner is excellent
