Whether you’re a seasoned hi-fi enthusiast or a newcomer to the audio world, the Sennheiser IE 200 is designed to make you fall in love with it. Starting with the finely tuned transducers to the minimalist housings, every aspect has been crafted for perfection.
Great Sound Starts Here
The dimensions of sound quality just got extended with the Sennheiser IE 200. The natural frequency curve resembles the one found in IEMs at a much higher price while the harmonic distortion is almost non-existent. These IEMs have been carefully tuned to offer true-to-life audio without any peaks or troughs.
True-to-Life Sound with TrueResponse
The IE200 is equipped with the Sennheiser TrueResponse Transducer technology, developed over the past 15 years. The German-designed 7mm extra-wide band transducer offers exceptional quality with zero distortion. Each transducer has been manufactured by Sennheiser Consumer Hearing in Ireland where an advanced process is used to minimise the unit-to-unit variation of the miniature dynamic drivers.
Two Tunings, One IEM
The Sennheiser IE 200 features a unique dual-tuning feature. Audiophiles can mount the ear tips (included) in two different ways to adjust the amount of bass response as per their preference. Experience a range of music from a deep and emotional bass response to a texture-rich treble.
Black is in Style
Classic, all-black housings are ergonomically designed to ensure a secure fit, better noise isolation and lasting comfort. Adjustable earhooks and adapters further enhance the fit. The braided cable is optimised for low-body noise. It terminates with gold-plated MMCX connectors on one end and a 3.5mm plug on the other.

Sennheiser is a well-known brand in the audio industry. They offer a wide range of products catering to both audiophiles and casual listeners. Their products include open back and closed back audiophile headphones, in-ear monitors, ANC headphones, and true wireless earbuds. They are known for their exceptional sound quality and durability. Whether you're a professional musician or just a music enthusiast, Sennheiser has something for everyone.
Considering the range of IEM available, this one is mediocre, considering the price. Expected a bit more Bass from this, which did not come up to expectations ! Just about ok, and depends exactly what your listteing requirement is. Before purchasing, decide what your personal sound requirement is and then take an informed decision !!
Thank you for your review.
Pros:
- Very lightweight
- Comfortable
- Details
Surprisingly, takes more power to drive than what I expected based on the specs. I consider this as a positive since you don't have to struggle fine-tuning the volume slider to adjust to a comfortable volume setting.
Cons
- The stock cable doesn't come with a mic.
- mmcx connectors would need a light push-back at times since they could become loose at certain angles.
- There is no great wow factor, but nothing sounds wrong.
Sennheiser ie200 review
First the disclaimer – I have been a Sennheiser fanboy during the initial days of my audiophile journey, having owned PX80 and MX170, I was somehow a Sennheiser fan in regards to their product quality, warranty coverage and most importantly sound quality.
Now, ie200 – I had been following the IE series lineup for the past year or so and read a lot about them. I was on the verge of buying the IE300 but there came news of the new product Sennheiser was about to launch within the $200 mark, in a group I was part of, a graph of the FR was shared and I was intrigued by it and pre-ordered it.
IE200 arrives in a rather simple packaging whereas its Chinese counterpart which arrived on the same day and belonged to the same price, the SeeAudio Yume 2 came in impressive packaging, good quality silicone eartips and a carry case, something for Sennheiser to take as feedback. Came along with iems were a carry pouch few pairs of eartips, some custom tips with acoustic treatment by Sennheiser and some foam (underwhelming in today’s standard of $200 iem).
Now coming to the sound, the first impressions were quite good on the first two tracks I heard (Ghoomar and Ek Dil Ek Jaan) however with time the iem started to feel spicy in the treble region to become fatiguing especially when I was side by side listening to Yume 2 which has perfect balance across frequencies except for the bass being a bit leaner in comparison.
I was informed in advance by the forum members about tip rolling to bring out the best, I also happen to follow GizAudio about the same topic around the same time.
Tip rolling –
• Stock tips – extremely comfortable, but be ready to sacrifice the sound quality as I believe it just doesn’t do justice to these item's capability
• Foam Tips – Now, the entire concept changed, the bass became prominent also the mids feel more natural to my ears, listening to Udit ji’s playlist, I was getting the memory of me listening to those tracks on HD6XX, albeit the stage felt wider on these. Dark Horse by Katy Perry and Starboy by Weeknd sounded extremely good, the opening of these tracks are good to evaluate if the bass can overpower other details and I could happily say that I didn’t face any issue with these tracks on the ie200
• Final E tips – Now comes the final E tips on the recommendation of a beloved friend, the first impression was underwhelming TBH as I thought I was getting the best with foam tips however with the final E tips I was getting LetShouer S12 vibes on ie200 because of the spicy treble and overpowering bass. Gave it a few days and these have become the new normal, I have been switching between E tips and foam for a change, final E tips are good if you want to make the sound a little more V.
Overall, I would say that I still need to spend some good time with these iems, as it is a chameleon when it comes to sound changes on tip rolling. As for the sound quality in summary I am impressed with the Sennheiser ie200. It deserves to be sold in volumes as it is launched at a very aggressive price point if we see Sennheiser’s standards. This could be the game changer as were the Senn HD6 series I believe people would get that taste in an iem form, they just need to choose the right eartips (which may not be easy). Until next time 😊
The IEM is good. All the sounds feel natural with good balance. If you feel that bass is on the lower side, the slits on both sides the IEM can be sealed with a masking tape. But with this the TWO kind of tuning present originally will be lost.
But proper bass can only be obtained by sealing the slits. Hope that helps. Overall great value for money. Can’t go wrong with it.
Thanks for the review. We're glad you like the IEM!
IE200 offers one of the smallest form factors without compromising on sound.
The tuning is smooth and well extended, but the 2nd tip position gimmick hurt the low end if the seal/fit is not good.
Also the cable is not comfortable and well below the average for the price bracket.
The bass vent(tip gimmick) and poor cable takes away from perfection to me.
Sennheiser doesn’t require any kind of introduction today. The brand is well-known to both regular consumers as well as serious enthusiasts. After all, they have developed the legendary HD6X0 and HD8X0 series of headphones for which they have my personal respect. But I am not here to share something related to their headphones, today, I am here to bring you a review of their latest launched IEMs, the IE200. Apart from the HD6X0 and HD8X0 series of headphones, Sennheiser’s “IE” series of in-ear monitors are also famous among audiophiles. The IE200 is the latest addition following the latest-generation design as the IE900, IE300, and IE600. This is the most affordable of their latest offerings with a price tag of roughly 149$ in the international market and 15,000 Indian Rupees. And from what I know, it houses a 7mm micro dynamic driver just like the other models in the series(IE300, IE600, IE900, and now IE200 are said to have the same driver). Since I am a big fan of the series(with IE600 and IE900 being my absolute favorites), I bought a unit of IE200 for myself. After spending a good amount of time with the pair, I can safely say that the IE200 is a lovely set to listen to. Let’s not waste any more time and begin with the review.
Sound Impressions:-
Coming to the sound part, I would like to mention that all the impressions in this blog are based on my experience with the pair with JVC Mushroom tips. Sennheiser IE200 sounds quite open with a lovely tone and precise definition of instruments. IMO it has a bit of focus on the midrange, not entirely a mid-centric output, but the midrange feels lively and a bit more pronounced compared to the other lower and top end. It has a smooth neutral tone to its sound that gives a lifelike listening experience. It has a rich musical tone to its notes. The lower end sounds refined and clean with a hint of boost in the mid-bass region. With my Mushroom tips, the bass response is deep and extended. Stock tips not so much extensions especially in the sub-bass region. It has a good punch, and good speed as well. Sub-bass presence is a little on the lighter side, I would rate it to have a neutral-ish bass response. It’s not over-exaggerating yet delivers a good and clean lower-end response.
I personally feel that the pair focuses a bit on delivering a lovely midrange, the vocal definition and instruments are super amazing. I love listening to my regional Bollywood tracks they mainly have some mid-bass punch and vocal-focused music. I was listening to “Humnava from Humari Adhuri Kahani”, and the vocal definition was excellent, the track sounds lively with lovely vocals being presented with simple slow music in the background. Vocals also have a bit of upfront presentation, I feel the upper mids and lower-treble(1kHz-4kHz) region is a bit lifted. It doesn’t sound harsh or anything, in fact, I love this upfront, intimacy the vocals produce on the IE200. I remember testing my absolute favorite “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor, “Half of my Heart” by John Mayer, and “Shape of my Heart” by Sting, and I just adored the vocal clarity and performance of the IE200. Simply amazing in this regard!!!
Treble response with the IE200 is smooth, I mean it just sounds inoffensive throughout the frequency band. I just couldn’t notice the pair going sharp or sibilant at any given point of time. At the same time, it delivers good details for its price point as well. Treble region might sound soft for some, but for me, it sounds perfect, smooth, crisp, detailed, and inoffensive. Checks all the right boxes for me.
The resolution and imaging of the pair are also quite good. It has a precise definition for instruments with proper placement on the soundstage. The sound field of the pair is a little on the intimate side, I won’t say it sounds super wide or huge, it just sounds correct and has enough air to not sound congested at all even for busy tracks. It has a pitch dark noise-free background, that allows for details and music to pop out beautifully.
Final Words:-
Sennheiser IE200 sounds wonderful, it packs some amazing vocals and a smooth inoffensive sound with a comfortable fit. With proper tip-rolling, like with JVC Mushrooms in my case, the pair literally disappears into my ears. What I like the most about the IE200 would be its clean, neutral-ish sound with lovely vocal presence, what I think could be improved would be that I would like some more sub-bass presence in the output.
Well, that’s all about the IE200 from my side, I hope you guys liked reading my writeup, I will soon be coming up with a video review on my Youtube channel shortly. Do subscribe to me on my YT as well!!

from 2854 reviewsIts best wired headphone i have ever owned.

This demo unit is as perfect as the original one. The sound quality, the bass, everything is best.

Best

For the price point of 245 rupees the quality is good.

The proliferation of the 4.4 mm (Pentaconn) connector on the output side of amps and DAPs has not been matched on the input side, except for few iFi products. The 4.4 to dual XLR is hence like heaven-sent. And TheAudioStore price is simply unbeatable.

I think earphones are just good. They are light, very minimal design, comfortable for long listening hours, sound quality is crystal clear, cable quality is also good, buttons don't work unless you have a quality converter or DAC. It has mic, what more you want. Overall it is a decent earphone.

It is my first IEM, it has good sound, first impression will be bad but as you will listen , it will be very pleasant. Use special one eartips

Friends, this is the best dac out there for the price and rightly said, it leaves no competition behind. Go for it without any second thought and this is no boasting but Pritam Ji is a good man and he will guide you in case you seek any advice.

I have been using the normal earbud style earphones earphones from ambrane, portronics etc which are priced at below 400Rs and decided to upgrade to the VE monk plus, the difference in sound clarity is easily differentiable. there is clear separation in the base, vocals etc. I guess once you use better earphones, you understand the difference in audio quality. I purchased the without mic version as i needed an earphone that works with My nokia express music 5310 as modern earphones with mic are not supported.

The HiBy R6 Pro II is an absolute triumph in terms of build and sound quality, but it wins at the cost of battery life (5.5-7.5 hours). If you're able to accommodate this design choice, I believe you'd be hard-pressed to find a better DAP for under $1000.
The R6 Pro II is built like a tank and looks stunning in purple. Album artwork pops on the crisp 2K display, and I've yet to encounter bugs with the rock-solid implementation of Android 12. Although it runs warm during operation (especially Class A mode), it's not been an issue thus far.
The AKM chipset offers musicality against a pitch-black background without compromising on neutrality. Its MSEB feature provides ample customization options and enables listeners to tweak the sound as per their preferences. The soundstage width is already excellent, and I hope the depth improves after burn-in to lend more of a holographic experience.

Works as intended!

Sony does not disappoint with the NW-A306. I like the customization possibilities and the android interface.

The shell is big bit somehow very comfortable fo extended use. The sound signature is about what I expected soo no complaints there. The only thing is I'm not a big fan of l connectors but that's a minor gripe.

This is my first IEM and my mind is blown by the audio quality of it and also the premium feel and built quality of the IEM which is made by Zr ceramic. It not only looks and feels good but also the clarity, passive noise cancellation, and comfort are good. Definitely a 10/10 and would suggest the people to buy it. The gift packaging it came into was also very thoughtful from the side of 'The audio store' people and was impressed by it.
