CCA has acoustically tuned the Xyraa for two demanding use cases: competitive gaming and music listening.

During gaming, the mid-high frequencies are optimised to make important audio information such as footsteps, weapon changes, gunfire and ability cues easier to distinguish. This helps improve positional awareness and makes it easier to identify where sounds are coming from in FPS and other competitive games.

For music, the Xyraa maintains a Hi-Fi-oriented presentation. Its 10mm dynamic driver provides a powerful yet controlled low end, while the balanced armature reproduces vocals, instruments and high-frequency details with clarity.

10mm Metal-Composite Dynamic Driver

The CCA Xyraa uses a 10mm dynamic driver with a metal-composite diaphragm, combining a high-rigidity metal core with a polymer damping layer.

The rigid metal structure is designed for fast transient response and controlled movement, helping reproduce quick attacks and stops with precision. CCA specifies a transient response of less than 0.15ms and THD below 0.3% for the dynamic driver.

The polymer damping layer helps absorb unwanted resonance and refine the driver's tonal character. This contributes to bass that sounds tight, responsive and textured rather than loose or overpowering.

For gaming, this speed helps distinguish rapidly changing sound cues. For music, it provides the impact and body needed for drums, basslines and electronic music.

Polymer-Laminated Composite Diaphragm

The dynamic driver's diaphragm combines the rigidity of metal with the damping properties of a polymer layer.

Its high-rigidity core handles energy efficiently while helping suppress unwanted breakup resonance. The laminated polymer layer further controls resonance, allowing the driver to retain strong bass impact without introducing excessive metallic character.

This construction helps create smoother transitions between the bass and midrange, while maintaining separation between vocals and instruments.

Custom-Tuned 30118 Balanced Armature

Complementing the dynamic driver is a custom-tuned 30118 balanced armature driver engineered for clarity and fast response.

For competitive gaming, the 4–6kHz region is subtly emphasised to make footsteps, gunshots and mechanical cues easier to identify. For music reproduction, the tuning is designed to maintain natural vocal and instrument presentation.

CCA specifies 0.3% THD between 2–6kHz and an ultra-fast 0.08ms transient response for the balanced armature.

A micro-acoustic damping filter is also used to smooth high-frequency peaks, helping maintain detail while reducing excessive sharpness during longer listening or gaming sessions.

Wired Gaming Performance With Low Latency

For competitive gaming, timing can be just as important as sound quality. The CCA Xyraa uses a wired connection to avoid the additional encoding, transmission and decoding processes associated with Bluetooth audio.

This allows game audio to remain closely synchronised with on-screen action, whether you're tracking footsteps, reacting to gunfire or identifying other directional cues.

The Xyraa uses a high-purity OFC dual-parallel cable with detachable 0.75mm 2-pin connectors, allowing the cable to be replaced or upgraded when required.

Precision Zinc-Alloy Construction

The CCA Xyraa features a zinc-alloy metal front shell manufactured using high-pressure injection moulding to create a precise internal acoustic chamber.

CCA specifies internal wall-thickness tolerances of within 0.05mm, helping maintain consistency between individual units and stable acoustic performance.
