I was surprised that I could use both ports simultaneously, and microphone functionality works with the 3.5mm port. It is strange that these details were not mentioned on the product description page.
The sound from the DAC is really nice, with no added coloration.
The DAC's shape made using my phone a bit uncomfortable initially, but I got used to it quickly.

I, Harichandra From Chennai was looking at theaudiostore.in website four days ago and came across this Little "Musical Vampire" Kiwi ears "Allegro" Mini Dac/Amp and ordered for one. I was looking for a minimalystic mobile Dac/Amp to use with
my phone "on the go" at the same time don't want to sacrifice quality of sound. I can confidently say, found one 😀. My Long due wishes are answered with Kiwiears "Allegro" Mini.
Dear Fellow Audiophiles, Trust me You won't believe the "sound" coming from it, when sourced with 4.4mm end on my Samsung S4 Ultra. Ofcourse I am using my either hiby
music player or USB audio Player with it.
With Careful settings on those players I was
able to get the satisfied audio quality as an outcome.
I was throwing all the iem's I have got at it and to my surprise Allegro Mini was able give them the juice. I don't know how "Kiwiears" has manged to achive the required amount of output with only 40mw@32ohms at 4.4mm Balanced connector 🤔.
I am very much satisfied with this Little Musical "Devil" and ordered one more from "TAS", I would like to thank "Mr. Pritam" and entire "TAS" team for bringing in this kind of affordable yet "Musical" wonder for us 👏🤝🙏

I haven't tested it on 3.5mm end, which I will do coming days.

Good quality dac
I am using this DAC to connect my iPhone to Fosi Audio ZA3 Amp for a lossless music stream from Apple Music. I am happy with this little device
Someone new to the audiophile community might be satisfied (I dare say even fooled),but...
It's absolutely atrocious and makes the sound way too warm and boosts the bass by 5-10 db,which makes the sound even warmer and muddy when you have a warm ish IEM.
Honestly it's better to just save more money and get a better dac that is neutral and colourless.
I wouldn't even recommend this to bassheads.

The Allegro Mini offers outstanding value as a highly portable high-resolution DAC/AMP with excellent audio performance, a premium build, dual outputs, and ease of use.
The major issue with dongle DAC's is that they get damaged over time. And the DACs which have a detachable cable are way above this price point. This is a great product to use on the go especially with your phone as its unibody metal build ensures that there is no wear over time. Although the T shape makes it pretty hard to use it with any laptops as it will cover any ports beside the one you plug it into. Overall for my use case its very satisfactory.
very nice compact industrial design. fits well and amplifies suitably for IEMs.
Good product but the only problem is that it cuts off mic even when connected with balanced output and also when connected in stereo output with cable with no mic.

I've been using the Kiwi Ears Allegro Mini Portable DAC & AMP for a while now, and overall, I’m really happy with it. It’s a small, well-built device that looks sleek and feels premium. The aluminum body gives it a solid feel, and it’s super easy to carry around.
The sound quality is fantastic—clear, detailed, and with a nice balance across the lows, mids, and highs. It makes my music sound much better, especially compared to just using my phone or laptop directly. I also love that it has both 3.5mm and 4.4mm outputs, so I can use different headphones without needing extra adapters.
It works straight out of the box with my phone and laptop, no setup hassles. Just plug it in, and it’s good to go. The only thing I wish was different is the price—it’s a bit on the higher side. If it were slightly cheaper, it would have been a perfect buy.
That said, if you're looking for a compact and high-quality DAC & AMP, this one is definitely worth considering.

This is the most balanced sounding IEM I've used in this price. I am using the Type C variant, and I haven't experienced any issue regarding the playback whatsoever. It is equipped with the DAC chip CX31993, which is found on the dedicated DACs around the price of 1K. The cable is also a 4-core silver plated copper one, with really nice build quality. These are also really responsive to EQ Settings, tweaking the audio balance using a 10 or 31 band EQ makes the experience even more versatile.
The only cons I have noticed are regarding the in-box ear tips, I didn't find them to be very comfortable, so I had switch them with some other ear tips. Although, the metal built of the IEMs give them a really premium feeling, the glossy surface is extremely prone to scratches and they still get scratched even after using cautiously.
It is good but could be a bit sharp sometimes may be balanced by EQ. But one problem in my type C unit, after 3 days it stop sound out of nowhere, while listening music, or watching movie/yt. Have to plug out plug in to get the audio back.

Really the quality of aurora ultra is out of the box , literally if you never use an iem and experience first time you feel actual music. Aurora ultra give life best experience.

This can indeed be an endgame purchase. It ticks all the boxes well and ensures a great fit and amazing audio quality
Amazing single DD iem , the ceramic dome diaphragm is incredibly fast, the transient response is excellent which makes the instruments separation really good, mid bass is punch is excellent, the kick drums have incredibly fast attack, with enough weight and fast decay, the sub bass rumble is not much (good from gaming pov) vocals are quite forward and have good weight, highs can be a bit fatiguing for many but the driver has been tuned that way for gaming, the imaging and soundstage is holograhic, footsteps are other audio cues are very easy to pin point accurately.
Nice product and quality also good😊 sound is awesome only bass is not high else verything was perfect. Happy with the product.

This is my first IEM , I have been watching lots of iem videos and comparison to find a right pair for my purpose ( mainly watching movies of all genre and music ) .
I was about to purchase kz duonic but one of the youtuber suggest earacoustic cipher gaming as an better version of kz duonic.
It have really good bass and also have wide sound stage for my purpose.
I'm absolutely enjoying this one.
So this was my first ever iem. I think I picked the right one Choosing this. The one I got is type c with mic the mic is not that much but the iems are amazing. Has good details and sub bass. And for me I play a ton of games the details I'm getting on this is just crazy.
