Quite a good product if you are shifting from the regular wired earphone or Bluetooth earbuds.
You can seperate or hear the bass vocals and instrument much better.
I am happy to get my 1st IEM as chu 2, if you want some running difference you can do so by eq too just to adjust it to your taste.
The only bad side is i forget to look that it didn't had mic, look for mic it can be helpful if take calls alot, if not then its ok to go with it.
Just received my order and it seems great, so far everything is working great. It sounds so clear!
I was new at audiophile journey ,and this was my 1st buy. I did extensive research before buying it,but sadly it broke within 7-8 months. Although the sound quality was exceptional and if you wanna start your audiophile journey,go with this. You won't regret!

I’ve been using the Moondrop Chu 2 for around 5 months, and I’m really happy with them overall. The size is very good – small, lightweight, and comfortable for long sessions. They fit well in the ears and don’t feel bulky at all.
In terms of sound, they’re excellent for the price. Clear mids, detailed highs, and a balanced tuning that works great for vocals and instruments. They still feel solid and well-built even after months of daily use.
The only drawback is the bass – while it’s clean and controlled, it’s not very strong. If you’re looking for heavy bass, these might not fully satisfy you.
But if you want clarity, balance, and detail in a compact design, the Chu 2 are a fantastic choice.
- I was really confused between salnotes zero 2 and moondrops chu 2. After lot of thinking and chatgpt decided to go for Chu 2 well my initial experience was not good because I was using realme airbuds 5 pro which is a great wireless earphone dual drivers but mostly bass heavy so chu 2 bass felt lacking at start but it's just initial expression once I got comfortable with it is blown my mind cause it's really well balanced you can hear good amount of sound seperation bass is good and don't leak into the other instrument details or vocals.

And honestly it's deadly combo it improves so much sound quality and bass and on top of that the fit of chu 2 and cable is really good and with this DAC it feels aesthetically pleasing as well.
It's simply wow

I have used lots of TWS even high end of Samsung and Oppo worth 10K. But IEM sound signature is great! This is my second IEM. I had KZ-ZEX. It has dual driver with electrostatic. Compare with that MoonDrop Chu 2 is better clear and smooth sound signature even with single driver. I am using with Audiocular DAC cost 750. Just go with MoonDrop Chu 2 if you are music lover. I have tried so many regular earphones from companies like sony, oneplus, etc. but switching to IEMs felt different from them and i like it. I think Moondrop Chu 2 are great choice under 2k budget. Highly recommended.

This is a very good iem. The sound signature veers towards the warm side of neutral. Using it with the VE Abigail dongle dac (not the pro) it's not an ultra detailed sound but very balanced and does not emphasize one range of frequencies over the other.. the bass is not super deep but has good quality and resolution. The midrange is excellent and has a lovely tone, well recorded male and female vocals, trumpets, violin, cello sound lively and almost palpable. Fortunately the high mid frequency does not sound bumped up and transitions smoothly into the high frequencies... now it's the high frequencies that to my ears are not the forte of this iem, still quite good considering it's price. It's not as extended or airy but is never harsh.. The soundstage is not very wide or deep but the imaging, layering and seperation of instruments are good. I'm using the stock cable and ear tips, so changing these later might alter my views. Overall, the Chu 2 is a very good, well balanced iem with no listening fatigue even if used for hours. The build quality is superb, all metal construction and looks very nice. Great piece from the guys at Moondrop. not a big upgrade from kz edx pro in my newbie opinion. built quality is awesome. a inline mic should have been there.

When u first try these out of the box, they may feel a bit clumsy but after 5 to 6 hours of burning, u get the real feel of these earphones. The only thing is they don't have a mic so u can't take calls with this. Apart from that it's the best one's I have tried till now.

I visited the store to get first-hand experience. The staff was also very helpful; rather than imposing his opinion, he simply allowed me to listen to music from various IEMs.
I tried CCA CRA, 7hz Zero, Tangzu Waren, CCA, and a few other things.
In my view, Moondrop Chu II is perfect you if you enjoy 7hz Zero but want a little bit more bass.
EDMs, Pop, Instrumental, and Dance are my favourite genres of music.

Cons: No microphone (but I bought it for music, so I don't mind this).

These are great upgrades over the previous version
Variant - Moondrop Chu 2 3.5mm
After months of usage, I started noticing rust on my MD CHU2, As a first timer metal iem user this was new to me, any first timer like me, I would recommend you to store your MD CHU 2 away from moisture.
Also be careful with 2 pin connector of MD CHU 2, they often break while connecting or disconnecting, I have seen users who had broken pin stuck on the MD CHU2 socket. Be careful
Sound is good, sound stage is a bit narrow, the highs are bit high for my liking. I liked the lows, mids are better, all of these feature are in comparison to my first iem Truth Hear Hola. I think for a first time buyer you won't even notice it. THH sound wider than MD CHU2.

Pairing this Harman Target Version with a Samsung A17 playing Apple Music and FLAC files and Fiio X1 DAP as a secondary source with FLAC files. When tuned to give preference to Mids as i prefer to hear the voices more than anything else, this comes out as a sweet sounding combination and tracks like Racy Chapmans Fast Car and Massive Attacks Teardrop shine beautifully. The Castor Pros are best listened at about 40% volume and and infact they do actually sound amazing at a high volume for bass heavy tracks such as EDM but for Trance and Rock the cymbals and snare drums sound better at 40%. This pair of iems and the combo sounds like money well spent so far and next i want to try analytical IEMs like the 7Hz. Thanks to the Audio Store for the rushed delivery.

Worth every penny! This is not for bassheads as it lacks just a bit on the bass department, but the separation is awesome and the sound stage is also huge. Awesome for gaming as well! (Apex Legends, Arc Raiders, PUBG)
This is the replacement for my purchase of moon drop dsp chu2 which I bought in aug 2025 i don't know how it got damaged from last it stopped working on left side buds and after a few days mic also stopped working and i forgot to claim the warranty for it . So find this spare cable very helpful since I love these IEMS for real Tq AUDIO STORETEAM FOR THE smooth delivery

I recently bought this and am incredibly impressed with it. The build quality feels solid and premium right out of the box.
When it comes to performance, the amplification is fantastic—it delivers a clear, noticeable boost to the audio power and volume without sacrificing clarity. It is also incredibly easy to use; completely plug-and-play with zero hassle.
An awesome bonus is the inclusion of the Type-A to Type-C dongle/adapter. It makes it incredibly versatile to connect to different devices right away without needing to buy extra accessories.
Overall, it's a great purchase and definitely worth the money. If you are on the fence, just get it!
As an all rounder it fits my taste quite well,the only problem it really has is the male vocals being a bit recessed (not terribly recessed if you use vocal eartips),they are a tad bit overpriced seemingly,divine planar might be better,but for people looking for a fun entry into iem's,it's worth the price (some people say it's included DAC isn't enough,it works well enough as a temporary solution,yet to test if a dac makes a big difference or not).
Unsure if this is how most iem's are but the cable felt a tad bit short.
I had never used an IEM before, so this was my very first experience and I was genuinely impressed. As someone who loves music, I can confidently say this is one of the best investments you can make for audio quality. The sound is exceptional and absolutely worth the price.
To get the best possible audio experience, I would also recommend pairing it with a good-quality DAC, as it significantly enhances the overall output. ....
This is the most balanced sounding IEM I've used in this price. I am using the Type C variant, and I haven't experienced any issue regarding the playback whatsoever. It is equipped with the DAC chip CX31993, which is found on the dedicated DACs around the price of 1K. The cable is also a 4-core silver plated copper one, with really nice build quality. These are also really responsive to EQ Settings, tweaking the audio balance using a 10 or 31 band EQ makes the experience even more versatile.
The only cons I have noticed are regarding the in-box ear tips, I didn't find them to be very comfortable, so I had switch them with some other ear tips. Although, the metal built of the IEMs give them a really premium feeling, the glossy surface is extremely prone to scratches and they still get scratched even after using cautiously.
It is good but could be a bit sharp sometimes may be balanced by EQ. But one problem in my type C unit, after 3 days it stop sound out of nowhere, while listening music, or watching movie/yt. Have to plug out plug in to get the audio back.
