Punch Audio Martilo IEM – Planar + BA + DD Hybrid Hi-Fi Basshead Earphones

The Punch Audio Martilo IEM is a powerhouse designed for audiophiles and bass lovers alike. With its unique 5-driver hybrid setup—featuring 1 planar driver, 2 Knowles balanced armatures, and 2 dynamic drivers—the Martilo delivers deep immersive bass, crystal-clear mids, and ultra-detailed treble for a truly high-fidelity experience.
Pure Bass Mania
If you’re a basshead, the Martilo is built for you. With a 14±1dB sub-bass shelf, it delivers thunderous low-end impact and punchy kickbass that you can feel. Thanks to its carefully engineered 200Hz crossover, bass notes remain tight, textured, and controlled—avoiding any muddiness or bloat.
Planar Precision & Detail Retrieval
Equipped with a custom planar magnetic driver, the Martilo reproduces treble frequencies with speed, resolution, and airiness that standard drivers can’t match. This ensures incredible micro-detail retrieval, extended treble sparkle, and a wide sense of space for an immersive listening experience.
Studio-Grade Accuracy
The dual Knowles RDE balanced armature drivers ensure a natural, distortion-free midrange with lifelike timbre and tonal accuracy. Vocals and instruments sound true-to-life, making the Martilo a perfect choice for both critical listening and pure musical enjoyment.
Tonal Balance with Extra Bass
Despite its powerful low-end, the Martilo maintains a balanced sound signature using a three-way crossover network and independent sound tubes. The mids stay clean and natural, while the treble offers smooth articulation and effortless detail—creating a harmonious blend of warmth and precision.
Handcrafted Excellence
Each Martilo is hand-assembled with precision, ensuring top-tier craftsmanship and durability. Every driver is carefully matched for consistent performance, reflecting Punch Audio’s dedication to premium-quality earphones built to last.
Custom Interchangeable Cable
The Martilo comes with a detachable 0.78mm 2-pin cable system, giving you the flexibility to upgrade or swap cables based on your preference—whether for balanced outputs, portable setups, or custom aesthetics.

Fucking amazing set of IEMs. Never dropped a review before but man, these are just amazing. These are not just bass, it’s the correct amount of bass for a fun listening experience with today’s music. Music is supposed to be fun, not flat and boring and technical. These are masterfully tuned. Fast shipping from TAS. Great packaging.
After my first pair, the Oriveti OD200 (which I loved!), I grabbed the Martilo as my second set, and wow, I finally get what people mean by basshead. Guys, these are unreal. If you listen to music that's supposed to really H-I-T, this is the one for you.
Sound Breakdown
The Bass is the star: It literally shakes my eardrums. We're talking deep, physical sub-bass rumble, not the muddy, boomy kind. It feels like having a huge subwoofer in your head. It hits hard but stays clean and super fast, which is critical.
Mids are surprisingly clear: I was worried the bass would swallow up the vocals (Mids), but they stay right up front. My favorite singers sound crisp! You get great separation, letting you pick out instruments even when the bass is going crazy.
Treble is sparkly and quick: I think the planar driver is what makes the high notes (Treble) sound so detailed. It adds enough "air" to the sound and keeps the whole picture from feeling dark.
The design is awesome, they look like cracked lava rock, and they are pretty comfortable even though they look a bit chunky.
Only 1 downside for me was the eartips, it could be more comfortable given the price tag of this IEMs. I'm using stock eartips of my another IEMs (Oriveti OD 200) which is surprisingly comfortable.
Final Takeaway
If you are moving up from entry-level and want to know what truly clean, hard-hitting bass sounds like, get these. It’s an easy, near-endgame fun set for people who love bass-heavy genres like EDM and Hip-Hop. Go listen to them!
Although termed as Basshead, it's clean and crisp. Bass knows when to punch and when to calm. Upgrading from Juzear Defiant which is itself a great allrounder to its price. Thoroughly enjoying the Martilo. Finally great service by TAS. Looking forward for more.
I purchased it solely to experience how bass head sound signature feel.
Most other bass-rich iems either are low quality sound producing or too costly.
This one you get nice bass heavy sound without compromising other aspects of sound.
Must try if you want quality base.

Best Budget IEMS. This was my first time buying this iems and i didnt got single complaint for this. its just good for this price point
New on this IEM journey and I must say they sound better than my 3x priced headphones.
I like the sound and clarity.
Coming from Juzear Defiant and Punch Audio martilo, I would say that this is the best I have till date. Excellent in terms of clarity and technicalities. Being a medium sized IEM it is very comfortable for long listening sessions. Kudos to TAS for their excellent service.
I visited the experience store at Pune and Pritham and his asistant were very warm and welcoming. They patiently explained the pro's and con's of the Hidizs and gave me alternatives to try like the Truthear Nova and Simgot Supermix. Experiencing the different IEMS helped me maake a solid choice of what I wanted.
Also took time to sample an open back Sennheiser HD660S and the Hifiman Sundara. Was able to clearly make out the differnce betweeen a planar magnetic and DD. That helped me know what my prefernces were. Truly enlightening experience ended with a great purchase in the HIDIZS MP145.
These are my first IEMs. After a bit of research, I decided to go with the KZ Castor Pro as my first IEM. I'm really impressed with the audio depth, the crispness of audio and the clarity and separation of instruments and vocals. The music feels much different than the usual TWS earbuds which I was using before! The packaging was good, and delivery from Audio Store was good! Glad to have officially entered the IEM clan!
The Audiocular Spark DAC is amazing and it really enhances the audio quality compared to using my IEMs directly on my PC. The build is excellent, durable and it also comes with a carrying case. The packaging and delivery were both good. Really glad I bought this from here!
Unbelievable this TANCHJIM Bunny Type-C DSP whenIwas unboxed and listen immediately lheard totally theatricale experienced. It'stotally mesmerized me in sounds. In this price unbelievable soundquality. That's why this TANCHJIM Bunny Type-C DSP is more value than itsprice. Thanks once again to Pritam ji for suggestingme so wonderful IEM.
I herd of them and brought them was concerned but the audiostore team was gental and the quality of product was superior
Sound quality is very very neat and clean and in depth. Best purchase ever.
It's an amazingproductforthe price
I purchased these during christmas- and my initial impressions were that these were packaged well, and felt very premium in hand, except for the cable.
The bazz is very lacking, and the iems are unusable without tuning. After tuning these sound full, and have beautiful clarity. Definitely recommend if you can tune them. Also very good for video editors and others who need stock audio
It sounds wonderful 👍
I am very satisfied with my purchase and currently enjoying hi-res audio with my iem. Best looking and build quality is also good under 1K
This is my first IEM. I like the way it sounds. Though I expected much better soundstage but it is good. After using this, I will definitely buy my second IEM. Trust The Audio Store, they delivered as expected. Actually someone suggested me on reddit to go with audio store and I will definitely recommend others the same.
Just got some time with these and here's my honest take:
Comfort: These things are stupid comfortable. Lightweight shells that disappear in your ears, zero fatigue even after long sessions. Stock tips are meh though—nothing special, you'll probably want to tip-roll.
Sound:
- Vocals are pushed forward and warm with less sparkle/energy up top. Great for that intimate, smooth vocal presentation but not if you want bright, analytical vocals
- Bass is elevated and textured but definitely not basshead levels. Hip-hop/EDM heads will find it lacking
- Treble rolls off early = excellent sibilance control. Zero harshness or fatigue, perfect if you're treble-sensitive
Who's this for? Warm vocal lovers and anyone tired of harsh, sibilant treble. Long listening session champs.
Who should skip? Bassheads, treble sparkle chasers, people wanting analytical/reference sound.
For the price, these carve out a nice niche—they're not trying to do everything, just warm and smooth really well. Worth it if that's your vibe.
