TAS Commitment
Description
Enjoy the true sound of music with the Sennheiser IE 900. This IEM features 7mm TrueResponse drivers with the new XR3 technology for brilliant treble, powerful lows and clear mids. The high-quality build is designed to last and fit comfortably.
Hear Every Detail
Experience the finest nuance in your music with the Sennheiser IE 900. And, it’s not just the tonality of each instrument that is clearly audible, but also the acoustic properties of the room. Immerse yourself in a vast soundstage without any distracting peaks or troughs. An acoustic back volume – a small chamber within another chamber – is used to manage the slope and amplitude of the bass lift. It controls the overall volume and direction of the air as it moves through the driver unit. The end result: Disciplined bass with uncoloured mids.
Built for Brilliance
With the IE 900, Sennheiser has left no stone unturned. The German designed and engineered 7mm TrueResponse transducers offer brilliant treble, powerful lows and clear mids. The drivers are well-tuned to avoid sibilance and overpowering any one frequency. The warmth only adds that much-needed life to your music. The combination of a variety of acoustic materials in the diaphragm ensures a precise transient response and detailed audio experience.
Designed for Pure Sound
The new XR3 technology uses a system of 3 Helmholtz resonators. These are milled right into the solid aluminium housing. The tiny channels in this system prevent resonance peaks that colour the sound. A vortex structure in the nozzle swirls acoustic energy in the frequency bands to smoothen unwanted peaks. Together, these high-end technologies deliver incredible balance and transparency to your music.
Precise Build for Precise Sound
The Sennheiser IE 900 does not shy away from making a statement with its high-class housings. Each one has been cut from a single block of aluminium using 5-axis CNC machined precision. This enhances the electro-acoustic components of the IEM. Once anodized, it is highly resistant to wear and corrosion. The end result? A work of pure art.
IEMs that Fit Seamlessly
Working musicians require IEMs that fit well. And, we took inspiration from this and translated it into IE 900’s form factor. Silicone ear adapters and elastic foam ear adapter sets in three different sizes adapt to the natural shape of your ear for a tailored fit. It does away with uncomfortable sibilance or resonance, letting you enjoy your music just the way the artist intended.
The Perfect Connection
Apart from its sonic properties, a great IEM also offers unmatched durability and reliability. The recessed, 4.8mm-wide MMCX sockets ensure outstanding strain relief. The para-aramid reinforced cable is rated for thousands of bend cycles and terminates with gold-plated Fidelity + MMCX cable connectors on one end and a 3.5mm stereo plug on the other. For audio lovers looking to plug their IEMs into hi-fi audio devices, the IE 900 also comes with symmetrical 2.5mm and 4.4mm cables. The serialised case keeps it safe when on the go.

Sennheiser is a well-known brand in the audio industry. They offer a wide range of products catering to both audiophiles and casual listeners. Their products include open back and closed back audiophile headphones, in-ear monitors, ANC headphones, and true wireless earbuds. They are known for their exceptional sound quality and durability. Whether you're a professional musician or just a music enthusiast, Sennheiser has something for everyone.
This is an IEM that can take time to understand. Most who appreciate it are those who have tried a lot of other IEMs, and have been in this hobby for a couple of years or more.
My own introduction to IE900 began a month or so after its launch. I visited a listening session hosted by TAS and was absolutely unimpressed by IE900 back then. At that time, the only IEM I had was Moondrop Blessings 2, and I genuinely thought that Blessings 2 was better than 900.
Over the years, whenever visiting TAS, I kept listening to it, or rather Pritam kept making me listen to different songs on it on different devices, and bit by bit, my admiration for it kept growing. After 3 years there finally came a point where I felt that I had to have it. And after buying, the only thought was "How did it take me so long?"
So what is special about this IEM?
IE900 is precision incarnate. A single DD that has been so magnificently tuned that it produces some of the most accurate timbres of real instruments I've ever heard. I was especially impressed with how Pianos sound on this, having heard the sound of a Steinway, the way IE900 produces it is incredibly lifelike.
The soundstage is also very underrated. You won't immediately notice anything brilliant about the stage, but eventually you'll start to realise that nothing feels closed in while listening to this. Everything has its proper place and space and creates a perfect atmosphere.
The bass is no overpowering, but it is quality and very noticeably, while the treble is lifted and clear.
Mids, particularly lower mids take somewhat of a backseat in this IEM, but that is perfectly fine as the market is loaded with mid-heavy warm IEMs.
Listening on IE900 is like listening to a solo musician's performance- clear and precise, compared to listening on Thieaudio Monarch which is like listening to an orchestra- lush and layered.
So what are the cons?
The cable is typical thin Sennheiser cable. Although it sounds great, it does not have the best feel.
MMCX connectors are probably more durable than 2 pin (less risk of breaking), but the rotation motion is actually a hindrance rather than a help while trying to wear these.
Since the IEMs are very small, people with large ears like mine might find them not snug enough. I bought the largest size of tips I was able to find (Azla Origins with 14mm+ dia) to make them fit on me tightly.
Sound wise, the only thing I'd put somewhat of a negative on is that these are not tuned for EDMs, so if you're someone who listens to electronic music a lot, these might not be best for you.
Also need to mention that my first unit suffered from the right earpiece dying on me one fine day. Contacted TAS and had a full replacement in under a couple of weeks. Excellent service by the TAS team!
Overall a must have IEM for a serious audiophile in his collection.
I didn't expect this kind of sound from this tiny device. Unboxing was underwhelming compared to fiio iems. The tips are okay if you put it correctly. They need to be put very lightly inside ear canal, not too deep, otherwise the tip will collapse and won't sound good. Sound is more detailed than anything I've ever heard. It doesn't sound fatiguing at all. Like i said, it sounds smooth. The azla sednafit light is the tip to go for. I've tried the spinfit cp100+ as well, but the sednafit light sounds the best. Thanks to mr pritam for helping me get the perfect iem for my taste.
Kudos to Pritam sir for the recommendation. A well balanced IEM with a high degree of musicality. My favourite IEM for when I simply want to lose myself in the music and enjoy the show.
Amazing what can be achieved with a single driver.
No Words for me to say about this IE 900 IEM. Even if I say more it will be very less. That much perfection in sound.
Firstly, I thank my new friend Pritam ( The Audio Store Co-Founder ). He helped me by asking about my taste in music and came up with the best for me. He was a polite person who never tried to sell anything until customer requirement needs it. Very honest in delivering the Info. Thank You, my friend, for the best recommendation.
IE 900 Wherever you search for review it will 9.9 Rating or 9.5 from Audiophiles. Any website or Video everyone says is the best. It is exactly the same as mentioned on sound.
Sennheiser has come with their experience on this IE 900 IEM. They are very well built material Aluminum when you put them in-ears feels like nothing was there. Such a good comfortable if you carry on your hands feel noting weight. The first impression of me was comfort.
Then I started playing with Iphoine 12 + 3.5 Jack + Apple Dongle Jack. It's a very simple setup not used any Dac/Amp then I started playing Dangreos By MJ. I can't really explain my experience with the first impression.
The instrumental part was Awsome!! Drums have kick bass. Guitar strings will make you simple :) Sound Stage will be like Auditorium. Vocals are a blessing Gift for this IEM. The bass is mindblowing and you keep repeating the song for that kick and experience.
You play anything it sounds exactly the same as how the musician thought to deliver the end of the listeners. That all will be delivered without any other expensive AMP DAC. That's the beauty of IE 900.
The big joke is it's a 7 MM Driver don't how they designed this IEM. It can be done only with the experience of 75 Years as a sound engineer like Sennheiser.
Great Job by Sennheiser Team. I really bow for their work.

After having owned a few kilo-buck IEMs, I was prepared to get something that was insane and probably endgame and rightly so Pritam sir recommended the FIR audio Xenon 6 and thus deep dived into this and I am sure this would be the end game IEM for me.
The XE6 is so wonderfully crafted looks like piece of jewelry and although a large IEM it is very comfortable for me for long sessions.
It sounded good from the start and was really different from the other IEMs. It started to sound even better and grew on to be the best I ever heard after listening to it for longer. I paired with Astell&Kern SP3000T and Hiby rs8 II and with desktop DAC Amps (FiiO K19, Topping D70. A70, Hifiman R2R and Xduoo TA 22) and the immersive, warm, musical and soundstage that filled my head all over. The sub bass is where it stands out the most, but the mids and highs are also so clear and crisp. I havent yet tried to change the atom modules as yet, I am sure this will make the XE6 even more great than that it already is.
The shells in the IEM I were crafted in the US (was crafted in China earlier, but as Trump wanted his MAGA force it had to be made in the US now)
This is definitely end game worthy!!!!

I’ve been using the Moondrop Chu 2 for around 5 months, and I’m really happy with them overall. The size is very good – small, lightweight, and comfortable for long sessions. They fit well in the ears and don’t feel bulky at all.
In terms of sound, they’re excellent for the price. Clear mids, detailed highs, and a balanced tuning that works great for vocals and instruments. They still feel solid and well-built even after months of daily use.
The only drawback is the bass – while it’s clean and controlled, it’s not very strong. If you’re looking for heavy bass, these might not fully satisfy you.
But if you want clarity, balance, and detail in a compact design, the Chu 2 are a fantastic choice.

Very good value for its price range,
Solid build, durable metal shells
Comfortable fit and decent ergonomics
Tuning flexibility thanks to interchangeable nozzles
Soundstage depth isn’t exceptional (though width / height are decent)
The black nozzle for brighter tuning is a bit aggressive.

This is my first IEM..so I'm not knowledgeable enough to decide if it's the best or not..but definitely a good buy..go for it guys..and don't forget to pair it up with a good dac....

I got these cables for my CHU II because I broke the stock cable.
For the following reasons I would say it's a solid recommendation for it's price.
The cables themselves are not as heavy as they might look and more importantly, they are not "stiff, ear hooks are also fairly comfortable.
Also, they don't particularly retain shapes and seem to be freer and tangle free.
The quality on the cables is good, it's been almost two weeks, and I haven't seen any quality issues come out.
The mic quality on calls is decent, very serviceable.
Don't expect upgrade cables to change the tonality of your IEMs.
These don't have a chin-slider, I would have loved to see that.
(THE COOLEST PART, they include a free hard case and tbf it's actually a good case better than some listed even for around 300INR out there)

Tuned like a blessing formy ears, Go for it

I use the moondrop free dsp mini with my hidizs mp145 planar iems and the response is amazing. Micro details are good mids are just right. The bass is tight. You'll love it.

After searching for around 7 days, I finally ordered these. I have received them just an hour ago. Will update the review in few days. Initial impressions are too good.

The Audiocular C03 is an exceptional value for money upgrade cable in the market with a decent mike and in line controls along with amazing build quality thank you The Audio Store for fast Delivery

Good for Gaming and Multimedia both

these iems are so clear with wide soundstage and these are small and lightweight and sits flat in ear without building out if u use small tips according to your ear , this is my second iem the first one was kz edx and it was bass heavy after listening to this , i find out that this is what we call iem neutral soundstage. this dsp version allows you to set a fix eq to the dsp and now you can use same eq anywhere you want if it is laptop or tablet or pc without installing an eq software, the app also have community driven eq sharing where individuals can share there eqs you can pick eqs from there to suit your preference

It is really really good and the vocals clarity is much more higher than the traditional default 3.5mm ports of smartphones. I think, it is a great investment.

Anc & Transparency mode nice, Battery hrs fullfill & Mic quality top notch,
Soft touch Key function.

Best IEM under 5K. You'll be surprised by the value you're getting.

It's a great and adorable dac at the same time. It fulfills the need without a heavy toll on the pocket. It comes with a 3.5mm to type C converter with High res and moreover a Usb C to A converter.
