Bright leaning with good technicalities.

This IEM has a 9k peak which comes after a dip. It is quite noticeable if you are sensitive to it. The IEM is quite technical for the price, its has really good transients compared to the Orchestra lite and the S12. But that 9k peak gets irritating in some songs and when you want to turn up the volume.

Thank you for your feedback on the Sound Rhyme SR5 IEM. We appreciate your honest review and are glad to hear that you have noticed the technical capabilities of the product. We understand that the 9k peak may be bothersome for some listeners, and we will take this into consideration for future improvements. Thank you for choosing our product and we hope you continue to enjoy it.

This is a long-term usage review of Sound Rhyme SR5.
Accessories and package:-
I loved the accessories it came with. A leather-like carrying case, a round metal case (not big enough for the iems with cable) and some decent tips. The provided cable is nice too. Iems themselves look very nice but slightly on the bigger side and also quite deep. They don't completely flush in your ears and stand outside the ears. Mind you I have big ears. My point of reference was my previous Ikko OH10 which used to fit like a glove in my ears. But SR5 is definitely much lighter in comparison. With the right tips, you won't even feel the weight at all.
Build quality:-
Talking about the build quality they looked fantastic overall but within the first 2 weeks, the nozzle started rotating. Pritam helped me in getting it repaired but it took almost a month to get it back in my hands. But that's how it works when the manufacturer is outside the country. Big thanks to Pritam and his team for the prompt action though. Later I also discovered that the left side iem had rough edges where the face plate is glued. Although that never affected the sound.
Sound:-
Talking about the sound, it's unique compared to my previous possession. The first thing you will notice will be the forward mids. They are forward and very open-sounding. All the voices sound very natural and will remain my reference for future purchases. After listening to SR5 everything else sounded muted in the mids region.
The next thing you will notice is the details in highs and vocals. Highs sound just about perfect to my ears without any sibilance or fatigue. Usually, I had a habit of boosting treble to all the iems to make it sound crisp to my ears. So, no complaints there.
The bass though sounds a bit delicate to my ears. Sometimes leaving me thirsty for more quantity. I won't say I'm a basshead but I don't like flat-sounding bass. I love the balanced sound. Though the quality of the bass is decent. Using the right tips will help for sure. In my case, the foam tips were best in delivering the natural bass.
The resolution is fantastic, and the imaging and soundstage are good too. The forward mids give you the feel of a narrow soundstage but when you reduce the mids by a few dbs you will understand that it's not narrow at all.
I'm using SR5 with Moondrop Free DSP with a slight bump in the bass and a slight reduction in mids as my preference.
I loved the sound so much that I immediately sold my OH10. And that's a big testament considering how much I used to love OH10.

Most clinical sounding iem in this price range and above

Before jump into the review 1 want to thank Mr.Pritam for Recommending SR5 and thank the Audio Store staff to dispatching the product on the same day itself.

SR5 is well equipped with quality components and Tuned to be a clean sounding iem with lots of details.it is all about Mids and Highs.the "Knowles Balanced armatures, (used in expensive chi-fi iems) are the star of the show.for the mids i can hear ard feel each and every stroke of snare drum from Metal genre and every stroke and slap of a Thabla in classical genre.Male and female voices are
sounding so well,This alone shows how good and capable are the SR5's Balanced Armatures.Highs are absolutely crisp and clear.

For the Bass it has come with a 10mm dynamic driver sub Bass focused tuning. At first 1 thought the bass wasn't adequate, after tweeking a bit with the Equaliser by increasing few Dbs in low frequency section it started sounding Much Much better. yes this 10mm Dynamic driver can take the EQ like a charm.

Sound Rhyme SR5 iS an excellent IEM.Especially for those who like to enjoy the intricacies of the music.Jojo Mayer and Danny Carey are the two drummers i like the most.As far as lam concerned Danny's fast hands, kicks on the bass drum is the best in the world(your opinion may differ) and I can hear almost everything with this iem.

Imaging is good

It is an easy to drive IEM L didn't have to crank up the volume in order to get the best out of it with a 3.5mm jack termination.lt sounds even better with 4.4mm balanced Jack
(kinera ace 2.0modular up
upgrade cable).

My go to tracklist for Sound Test

Sator from Tenet (sub bass rumble and the sparkling treble at the end)
Diplo-Bubble up
Café de Anatolia- Dune2- Changes
Almost all the tracks from Tool and system of a down(Equaliser settings - Normal)
Idhayam indha idhayam from the movie Billa2(Thabla,Harp,veena,sitar and flute)

My source

Apple music - Samsung S22 ULTRA - ifi hip dac 3.

Slams Hard and Deep, with Detail and Clarity

This is strictly for metal and rock heads...the force and speed of attack is phenomenal on these...this is coming from a guy who has S12 , EA 500 & Sundara which are well known for speed and resolution themselves... suprisingly the treble is not harsh at all and sibilance is completely absent (major pain point of S12)..never expected such a sound signature from a non planar set but that's the magic of this hobby ..you get sleeper hits like SR 5 from time to time 😀...Soundstage and separation is adequate..not out of head...you will not get time to focus on all that anyway as the cohesive and authoritative sound will take your breath away before that 😜

Thanks Pritam Ji for bringing this to India and listening patiently to your customer's requirement and suggesting suitably.

Note : the photos in the website are of the old packaging...it has improved much now and Sound Rhyme provides a metal and a leather case along with foam tips now..check the pics of the package i received. I swapped out the stock 3.5 cable with a balanced fiio 4.4 one ..but the stock cable seems to be of high quality as well.

Thanks for the review! I'm glad you like the Sound Rhyme SR5 IEMs!
